Natural Persian Gulf Pearls

I've been lucky to travel to some pretty interesting places - Bahrain and Kuwait among them. Although the Gulf no longer produces pearls (the oil has polluted the Gulf to the point where they all died) many were harvested up until about 1940. They come in all sizes, shapes and colors. Persian Gulf pearls are known for their extraordinary luster. I love the soft peach colors of this strand.
